Benjamin Brinkley, Jr.

Benjamin Brinkley, Jr. was born in Millen, Jenkins County, Georgia, on January 16, 1949, the son of Benjamin Brinkley, Sr. and Mildred Williams Brinkley.

He was reared in Jefferson County, Georgia, but later migrated to the north Georgia area. He was a farm worker and former right of way employee.

Benjamin, Jr. loved farming and working in his flower garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin, Sr. and Mildred Brinkley and three siblings, Elise Bostic, Bernice James and Lester Kemp.

On, Friday, November 3, 2017, at Clearview Regional Medical Center in Monroe, Walton County, Georgia,  Benjamin, Jr. answered his master's called.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Alonzo (Willie Mae) Brinkley; daughter, Michelle (Cedrick) Johnson; sisters: Tammie (Horace) Fulton, Covington, Georgia, Maxine Manner, Thelma Hornes and Harriet Brinkley, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Shirley Gibbons and Milvinia Kemp, Wadley, Georgia and Connie La’Favor, Fayetteville, North Carolina; brothers, Morris Kemp,   Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Donald (Willie Mae) Brinkley, Tommie Kemp and Derrick Brinkley, Wadley, Georgia; two aunts, Dessie Lockhart, Wadley, Georgia and Jocelle Mitchell, Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Trymane Brinkley, Alonzo Atkins, Shantaadia Atkins, Albandra   Bryant, Robert Brinkley, Shakeria (Josh) DeShaven,    Jamarcus Brinkley and Jamante Brinkley; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
