Elder Charlie Johnson

On May 25, 1948, in Wadley, Jefferson County, Georgia,  God of all creations ordained the life of Charlie Johnson.

Charlie was entrusted to the parentage of Twiggs and Roberta Johnson.

Charlie Johnson was a well known citizen of Wadley, Georgia where he boldy witnessed for Christ as an Elder at the Wadley Church of God in Christ. He was a former truck driver for Ratchford Trucking in Wadley.

Elder Johnson loved reading his bible and listening to Gospel music.

On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Select Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, Elder Johnson answered a call that we all must answer and slipped away in search of his eternal destination.

His words of wisdom will always echo in the hearts of his daughter, Vickey M. Hannah, Wadley, Georgia; his sons, Christopher (Halima) Johnson, Sr., Cleveland, Ohio and Anthony Johnson, Wadley, Georgia; a sister, Elizabeth “Peggy” Reese, Wadley; three brothers, Pastor Tommie L. (Marion) Johnson, Nathan Jimmie Johnson and Roman (Min. Patricia) Johnson, four grandchildren, Shaniece Whigham, Christopher Michael Johnson, Jr., Crystal Johnson and Jaylin L. Elijah and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
