Johnnie Roger Boston

Mr. Johnnie Roger Boston was born on August 28, 1949, the son of James Roger Boston and Ida Mae Harmon.

Johnnie was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, having served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was formerly employed as a fork lift driver at a local air condition/ refrigeration plant and was a retired employee of the City of Wadley.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, James Roger Boston and Ida Mae Harmon Cummings; his siblings, Jennette Boston, Priscilla Cummings, Isaiah Boston, Leon Cummings, Velton J. Harmon, Melvin Lee Cummings and Cheryl Lavon Cummings. 

On March 26, 2019, at his residence in Wadley, Johnnie answered his call.  He leaves to cherish his memory: three sisters, Mary Boston, Lithonia, Georgia, Viola Cummings, Wadley, Georgia and Ida Scott, Savannah, Georgia; four brothers, Willie (Lillie) Boston, Hephzibah, Georgia, Larris Boston, Jacksonville, Florida, Tony (Monica) Cummings, Hephzibah, Georgia and Terry (Brenda) Cummings, Fayetteville, North Carolina and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Hudson Mortuary Chapel in Wadley, Georgia.  Burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
