Johnny Gene Adams was a heavenly blessing entrusted to the parentage of Mr. John Quincey Adams and Mrs. Ola Mae Lovett Adams. He was born on November 13, 1940 in River Rouge, Michigan.
Johnny Gene was a member of Spears Grove Baptist Church in Wadley, Jefferson County, Georgia from an early age. He was a former Automobile Assembler at General Motors in Detroit.
Johnny Gene enjoyed playing the guitar, performing mechanical work on cars, and he dressed to a “T”.
He was united in holy matrimony to Diana Wysinger Adams, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John Quincey Adams and Ola Mae Lovett Adams; his brother, John Adams, Jr., his sisters, Vivian Kemp and Carolyn Adams and his son, Frederick Adams.
Johnny Gene's legacy will continue to live in his daughter, Crystal Adams, Detroit, Michigan; his son, Terry Adams, Detroit Michigan; three brothers, Donald (Annie) Adams, Midway, Alabama, Johnny Lee Adams, Wadley, Georgia and Roy (Catherine) Adams, Radcliffe, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Byrum, Detroit, Michigan; his cousin, Carolyn Miles Detroit, Michigan; his companion, Princess Harper, Detroit, Michigan; three grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
