Beman Jones

Mr. Beman Jones, son of Jimmy Lee and Mollie Jordan Jones was born in Bartow, Jefferson County, Georgia on October 1, 1955.

Beman was a member of Tarver Grove Baptist Church of Bartow. He attended the Jefferson County Training Center in Louisville, Georgia where he learned many skills, including his favorite pastime, making beaded key chains.

Beman was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Lee and Mollie Jones and his siblings, Willie Jones, Alice Jones Gibbons, Bertha “Betty” Sims, Neppie Jones King and Gussie Mae Jones.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, God dispatched angels to escort Beman to his eternal destination.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three sisters, Katie Echols, and Varis Jones, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Helen Felton, Hinesville, Georgia; a brother, Arnold Jones (Mary) Jones, Jacksonville, Florida and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
