Mr. Eddie Frank Howard, "affectionately known as "Rock", was born on September 16, 1953 in Midville, Burke County, Georgia to the parentage of the now late Sergeant Clarence H. Howard and Bernice J. Howard.
Eddie attended school in the Jefferson County Public School System and graduated from Wadley High School in 1973.
He joined the San Clair Baptist Church of Wadley, Georgia at an early age.
He was formerly employed as a welder with the Diamond Chrysler Corporation and was also a former employee of Joe's Construction Company, Detroit, Michigan.
Eddie entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at his residence in Detroit.
"Rock", as he was called, was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ernestine B. Davis and Barbara T. Hinkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Vicky T. Howard of Michigan; a son, Terrance Howard, Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Karlisa Howard, Detroit, Michigan; seven grandchildren, a brother Clarence (Gladys) Howard, Clinton Township, Michigan, Wilhelmina "Pam" Howard, Detroit, Michigan, Erma (Samuel) Jones, Wadley, Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Charles E. Davis, Washington D.C. and Johnny Hinkins, Detroit, Michigan; three aunts, Mrs. Mary C. Howard, Swainsboro, Georgia, Mrs. Helen Toms, Adelphi, Maryland and Mrs. Betty J. Stephens, Alexandria, Virginia and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
